We are backbending into our weekend. It's supposed to rain and cool off - and we are excited!

Invitationals

What a great day for Miss Cheekers at her swim invitationals. She was so grown up and competitive - and yet still so sweet and nervous and innocent. She ended up finishing in the middle of the pack today. It was a great experience for this girl's first trip to the big meet. We are so proud of her and her great swimming season! Way to Go!

Sporty Weekend

The sports are back in action. Soccer started for Sydney yesterday. They had a great game out of the gate with a victory. The girls look so big this year. And they are all really honing in on their skills. I saw a lot of assertive ball action. It was fun to observe the changes from last year to this year. 

Today was also the girls' second horseback riding lesson. We may continue - but they only had two lessons. Horses are awesome....but mighty expensive. What they got out of these two lessons, though, was more than I ever expected. 

Bedtime - and the school week process cycles again tomorrow. 

Two Sharks in the Pool

Tonight kicked off swim team season....the first practice meet. After much anticipation, Miss Cheekers not only made it across the pool, didn't touch a rope, did big arms and side breathing....but the girl got her first heat ribbon too! What a night! And Miss Sydney's form is spectactular!! It's going to be a great season!

The Swim Graduate

Miss Cheekers graduated from her swim class today. Little by little she is making her way into big girl land. She was so proud to get her new t-shirt and photo taken. It's a big accomplishment - and we are so proud of her! Go Natty!

My Girlies

Daddio gets back home tonight. And it's been a very busy last 24 hours with my girlies. Last night we joined some friends for dinner at Waterloo. The kiddos played on the outdoor playground, while the parent-folk did some Friday night happy hour. 

Today we woke up early and didn't stop all day. Our day began with soccer. We had the gym and lunch in between and a birthday party all afternoon. Now we're beat and ready to restore some energy for Daddio's arrival. He is always our extra gear of movtivation.
