A New Fashion Fav

We had a nice holiday weekend. We kicked off football season by having some friends over for the game on Saturday. Then on Sunday we joined some other friends out for dinner - adults only (always a good time). On Labor Day we took in a swim at the pool and continued to embrace this extreme heat. It's still hard for me to get used to summer lasting as long as it does down south. When September approaches, I expect a cool breeze to start. We have another month before I can expect that. 

Today was back to school. Cheekers goes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this year. So she and I hung today. We volunteered at the school this morning and went to the gym this afternoon. Cheeks decided to wear her new favorite outfit today - and probably received more than a dozen compliments on the ensemble. It is super cute, though just a variation from her last fashion fav - the sequined tank and flashy tutu skirt. 

First Day of Last Year of Pre-School

My little Sweet Cheekers begins her last day of pre-school today. She's so ready to go onto big school, it's not even funny. But I am so not ready for my side-kick to be away from me all day. Good thing I have one more year to savor. She'll be doing pre-school three days a week this year - half-days. That should be a nice compromise for us both. :) 

She was ready with the sun today - not just for going to school.....but putting on her school outfit! This girl just loves her fashion! 

Spring Model

Standing 40 and 3/4 inches tall, Natatie, aka Sweet Cheeks, is sporting this year's trend. Just look at how she can wear those ruffles! Ooo - laa- laaaa :)

But seriously, people, these shoes are from Target! Helllooooo - how cute are these on my little four year old's feet??! 

Tomorrow

What didn't we do today..... one thing - take a picture of the new kitchen. So tomorow, I'll unveil.... But the fam loves it. :)

Today though, busy. We began today by dropping some girls off at school. Mommy got some "free" time, which was so nice. I took my family down to Walton's Fancy and Staple for breakfast. Then we hit South Congress for lots of fun shops shopping. I scored a couple early birthday presents, and we also endulged in some fried pickles at The Mighty Cone.

Then we picked up little Cheekers up from school and hit more shops. This time, the motherload - Sephora! Cheeks hit about eight lip gloss zones. Then it was time to pick up the Sydney girl from school.

No time to go home and rest, we loaded up for an early dinner to The Salt Lick. Now we're home, watching a little MLB and prepping for the agenda for tomorrow.

This weekend has one theme - party. Saturday is a party and Sunday is a party - and we have a lot of party prep to do. But tomorrow, before the new kitchen gets too dirty, I'll flash up a picture - old kitchen and new before we break it in.

It's Friday Night

We had family dinner night out tonight. The girls wanted to get all dressed up. You can never have too many accessories. You can't see, but Cheekers has about six hair clips besides her piggy-tails and her Johnny Mac headband.

Dinner was great! Happy Friday!
