Arsenic and Old Lace

Making her second middle school stage appearance, last weekend Sydney performed as the character Elaine in Arsenic and Old Lace. She plays the fiancé to the lead Mortimer. I love the connections and bonding that the theater group share. They are such a great group of kiddos. I can’t wait for more performances to come.

Fredericksburg

I got some friend time last weekend for wine in Fredericksburg. It was a great day away....gorgeous weather, great wine and fun friend time.

School President

After three years of dreaming, this girl was named Student Body President last week at her school. She was voted Class President, then competed against five other candidates by giving a speech, campaigning, making her own posters, fliers and stickers. The school, of over 800 students, voted....and Miss Cheeks was named President. She was so happy; and we are so proud of her hard work and determination.

Cheekers won Class President in her 5th grade class, and now she is running for school president. Today was her speech and debates for all of the fifth graders. She’s up against two other girls and three boys. Voting takes place next week. If anyone is ready to take on the role of president, it is this girl! She’s determined, a natural leader, energetic and always filled with ideas to help.

First XC Season in the Books

It was a great first season of cross county. The first meet, our girl took 8th place. Second meet she took 7th. 3rd one, she was 4th place. And she received 4th again for the school districts. Their school got first place overall for districts! Amazing!

A Perfect Gray Day
