It all began the day I was born and the nurses said, “Congratulations parents, you have a beautiful towhead!” My Dad gasped, “oh no, what’s wrong, what’s a toe head?” Turns out I’m just a natural blond.
As I grew, my mom couldn’t wait for my hair to grow so I could be a hair model…
But I wasn’t ready…
As the years went by, it became clear hair modeling would not be for me…
Once those fashion challenged years had passed (THANK HEAVENS!), I did have a good hair day eventually.
Then I got pregnant and decided I would grow my hair.
When my baby girl arrived, I decided to donate my hair (13 inches!) to Locks of Love.
And here was my new Mom look.
Then I got pregnant again and decided to grow my hair again.
Baby girl #2 arrived, so this time I donated my hair to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths for women with cancer.
Oddly following the birth of my girls, my once bone straight hair now has this random, inconsistent wave to it, just on the back of my head.
And now, here I am, a Mommy with two girls, a job outside of the home, a husband, a house, three cats, and a bed I visit on occasion. You’ll recognize me on the street because I’m always sporting this…
So that’s the story of my hair. And now, you may be wondering why I’m telling this story. Well along with my "Mommy’s Summer Fitness Challenge," I thought, hey, why not try to spruce up the hair too. Moosh in Indy is sponsoring a "Let the Moosh Whoorl Your Hair" contest with Sarah from Whoorl and Hair Thursday. If I win, I’ll get a hair make over and be on the oh-so-awesome Hair Thursday (you’ve heard of the site…and the waiting list!). Who knows, maybe by the end of this summer, Mommy will look like this…
