Sure Superman may have been "faster than a speeding bullet" and "more powerful than a locomotive". But I don't think Superman could hold a candle to some of the strength and powers that Moms have. Mothers have an amazing ability to think, react, be creative, multitask, achieve, laugh and conquer - all on three hours of sleep.
Here are some of my more recent SuperMommy highlights:
- Breastfeeding my baby with one arm while feeding my other daughter a hot dog with the other arm - in a bathroom stall at a football game.
- Putting on my older daughter's nighttime diaper while bouncing my inconsolable baby on my knee.
- Changing my baby's diaper... in the dark...at 2:00 a.m....and keeping my balance.
- Stirring macaroni with one arm, shaking a baby bottle with another and singing the theme song to Dora.
- Breastfeeding my baby and reading The Giving Tree to my older daughter.
