We got in all of our egg activities in one day....coloring, decorating, hiding and seeking. It wasn't a traditional day, in many ways, but we had a wonderful day anyway. Happy Easter to my little bunnies.
Today the girls got to learn a little bit about their family history. Hubby's father was in WWII and flew in a B-17. His position was in the ball turret of those planes during his missions. And today the girls got to see one of those planes their grandpa (whom sadly they never met because he passed before they were born) flew in up close and personal.
The Wings of Freedom tour came to our town this weekend. We toured a couple different planes and saw three of them take off. Hubby was in history buff heaven. It was a great experience that whether our girls will understand the impact or not; I know they'll remember the day we looked at those cool planes.
Today was our VIP's last day. As an extra special reward, I gave her a choice of anything for lunch. Her pick: chicken lo mein from Pei Wei... or as she likes to call it, "Pee Wee". :) As you wish, my lovely! :) What a fun week!
We have been waiting all year, and this week is Sydney's VIP week at school. Each week a student gets to make a photo board, share it with the class and bring in special things from home. We worked on her board during spring break last week. Her teacher said that she looks the same from when she was a baby. True. And she basically acts the same too - smart, determined, funny, sweet and adorable. Proud of our little VIP!
The girls asked if they could have dinner outside tonight. I decided to spy on them from the inside and listen in on their dinner conversation. They talked about friends and what they did at school today. They are so sweet.
