We drove back into town last night to see many people were busy over the weekend installing those Christmas lights.
I'm not a bah-humbug holiday person. But I really don't enjoy putting out Christmas decorations. I love the look of the house when it's all done....but the getting to it part - blah.
Last year I waited until around December 10th or so. I don't want to do that again this year. I want to enjoy the month of December with our lights and my snow-globe collection and a pretty tree and wintergreen and peppermint candles and all that stuff.... But who wants to help me get the Christmas tubs out from under the stairs? Anyone?
The girls are my motivation. I have to get it done this week. It's high on the list.We have some more travel plans this weekend - so it's got to be done in the next couple days.
I was just reminded about our friendly elf, "Magical" that will hopefully make an appearance again this year. I am excited for that good elf behavior from my girls to show up. Maybe I should get the elf out first and then have the girls do all the decorating....because that's what Magical would want! :)
Tis the season....what is it again....oh yeah....to be jolly!
